Shared hosting is cheap for a reason. You are one account among hundreds on a machine, and the resources you get are whatever is left after everybody else has taken theirs. It works until it does not, and the day it stops working is usually the day you were running a campaign.
A VPS is different. Your memory and storage are reserved rather than borrowed, so a busy neighbor is not your problem. We provision each capsule for the site it will actually run, with room to grow, and we do not oversell the machine it sits on.

How we run it
Size it
We look at what the site actually does, the traffic it takes, and what it will need in two years. The capsule is provisioned for that rather than for a pricing tier.
Migrate it
Moved and tested on the capsule before anything points at it, so the switch is a DNS change rather than an outage. Almost always done outside business hours.
Harden it
Firewall, access rules, certificates, mail authentication, and backups all configured before the site goes live on it.
Maintain it
Patching on a schedule, monitoring in the background, and a restore point before every change. You hear from us when something needs a decision, not otherwise.

Questions about managed hosting
Do we have to host with you?
No, and we will tell you when you do not need to. Plenty of sites run perfectly well on good shared hosting, and if that is your situation we would rather say so than sell you a capsule. Where it matters is ecommerce, membership sites, anything with real traffic, and any business where an hour of downtime costs more than a year of hosting.
What happens if we leave?
You take everything. The capsule is provisioned in your name, cPanel access is yours throughout, and we hand over a full backup and the DNS records on the way out. Leaving should cost you nothing but a goodbye.
Why cPanel and WHM rather than a custom panel?
Because every developer and agency in the country already knows how to use it. A proprietary panel means the only people who can work on your server are us, which is convenient for us and bad for you.
How much RAM and storage do we get?
More than the site needs, and the specific figure comes from looking at your site rather than from a tier chart. We size it during setup and increase it when traffic genuinely calls for it.
What does managed actually mean here?
That we apply operating system and control panel updates, patch security issues as they are disclosed, take and test backups, watch resource use, and renew certificates. It does not mean we fix a plugin you installed without telling us, though we will quote for that separately.
How quickly do you patch a security issue?
Critical issues the same day they are disclosed, everything else on the regular schedule. We take a restore point first, because an untested patch on a live site is its own kind of outage.
